In Frankfurt lebt eine Vielzahl von Nationen, viele Menschen dürfen am 15. März wählen und wir möchten darin unterstützen, eine gut informierte Wahlentscheidung treffen zu können.

Did you know that we are voting in Frankfurt on March 15?
We are electing the city parliament and the city government. We are also electing the Municipal Foreigners' Representation and the local advisory councils.
Citizens from a total of 27 countries are eligible to vote in the local elections in Frankfurt on March 15, 2026.
These include: Germany and all other 26 member states of the European Union.
Persons who are eligible to vote are those
- with German citizenship
- or citizenship of another EU member state
- who are at least 18 years old on election day
- who have had their main residence in Frankfurt for at least six weeks
- or are registered here
- who are not excluded from voting
Important for third-country nationals:
Persons from countries outside the EU (e.g., Turkey, Serbia, or the United Kingdom) cannot vote in the Frankfurt City Council and local advisory board elections.
However, they can cast their vote on March 15 in the election for the Municipal Foreigners‘ Representation (KAV).
Why are these elections important?
You determine how the city develops, you decide on very specific projects that affect your daily life.
That's why you should vote green on March 15.
For a cosmopolitan metropolis, for more climate protection and green quality of life, for more affordable housing, for a better future for everyone.
Because it's turning green in March!
